Google Acquires Adscape For Undisclosed Sum

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Internet juggernaut Google, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG) announced the acquisition of Adscape Media, Inc., an in-game advertising technology company.

Adscape was launched in early 2006 and developed software that sells dynamic, performance-based ads in video games.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not officially disclosed by the companies, though other media outlets speculated that the transaction was in the range of $20 million to $25 million.
